Family Pics 2017

I haven't taken family pictures for the past few years.  I just haven't had it in me.  This year, I was excited to take them!  So we packed up to go pick out a Christmas tree with some family pics on the side.  When I went to set up my tripod - we realized I didn't have the insert to hold the camera in it!  Hubby was able to fix that by using the camera strap and tying it around the tripod.  Well then my remote wouldn't work.  And anyone who's set the timer to try to take family pics, knows it's a pain in the butt to run back and forth.  So hubby fixed that too by setting up my phone as the remote.  It took a little bit of time but it worked!  I figured I'd share a few.....And some may be on our Christmas card.

Here is a great catch from the remote.  Hahaha!

My handsome boy.  He has beautiful blue eyes.  Even in black and white they are mesmorizing.

My sweet, beautiful girl.  I love that she always smiles with her eyes.

He loves the transfer to black and white.

All smiles

Nice catch

Another - Like I said - he's fond of the black and white.
I love how old school it looks with his outfit.

This my favorite <3 I love how serious Lizzie looks- She will cut you 😆

August Wedding

These pictures are way overdue....the wedding was in August!  Rest assured, the bride and groom got their pictures in a much more timely manner.  I just haven't uploaded to share with you!  I traveled to Nauvoo to attend a wedding for some friends and got to take the pictures.  I take way too many pictures, so here are just a few.  Barely a fraction of what I took and sent the new married couple.  We also went to the reception in Elgin, IL.  It was a busy few days of travel.  But worth capturing all the great memories.

I love memories.  Unedited memories of happy times.  I didn't have to edit much, a little here and there.  I like to remember times as they actually were (unless there is a big zit on a forehead or something like that haha!).  And sometimes I like to go black and white, I can't help it - it can enhance a beautiful picture that may not have enough light (or too much light).  The cute couple in the pics below made my editing life easy because virtually every pic came out picture perfect.  Enjoy!

When driving into Nauvoo, there were beautiful Lily Pads all over the river.

I love this!
